We rode the school bus to the park where the Pre-Independence Day festivities were held. The bus ride was the highlight for him because it that's what 2-year-olds like. It was the highlight for me, because it was air conditioned.
After some fun, we sought the shelter of shade.
And I got him an ice cream.
He sort of liked it.
Just kidding! He REALLY liked it!
And he waved to his adoring fans.
Mom, can we go? Its 114 degrees out here.
And he was right. That's exactly what my car thermometer said when we got there.
